Multimedia and Content Writer

Farmers Electric Cooperative has an immediate opening for a positive, outgoing, and proactive individual seeking a career in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, and Video Production. The successful individual must have the ability to effectively communicate Cooperative information with a variety of media, including social media, video production, print, radio, and direct mail. As a member of the communications department this position assists with the preparation and publishing from all areas of the organization through visual and oral presentations, written correspondence, speech writing, script writing, editing, research and consultation, website management, and special projects.
The creative candidate must be organized with the ability to reach all assigned deadline dates, have excellent ability to carry out a variety of activities which require both a high degree of accuracy, and attention to detail. This position will be required to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends with occasional multi-day travel.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Advertising or related field. A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a related field may be considered for education requirements.
Applicants must have excellent writing and graphic design skills. Must have working knowledge of the following programs: Adobe Software, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
